In the Mainfränkisches Museum in Würzburg, Germany, beautifully situated on the Marienberg overlooking the city, the exhibition 'Volle Kanne' (Full Jugs) will be running from May 9 to August 2, 2009.
In this city breathing history this is an interesting event. The jugs have all been made very recently, that is to say in 2009, especially for the exhibition, which opened during a get-together of silversmiths from all over Europe and people interested in silver in general.
Several silversmiths from the Netherlands are taking part, amongst them Jan van Nouhuys. He made this 'Jug For Fresh Air' for the exhibition.
