Wednesday 19 December Emiel Aardewerk, antiquedealer and jeweller, opened the exhibition Een keur aan zilver in the Belasting & Douane Museum in Rotterdam. This completely renewed museum shows a selection of Dutch silver from the 16th to the 21st century with work by famous silversmiths, early 20th century period jewellery and contemporary art by Jan van Nouhuys, Arjen Lucas, Wouter van Baalen and Regina Goudriaan.
The exhibition, which recounts the history of Dutch hallmarking, runs from 20 December 2012 to 31 March 2013.
